
A look back at Bethel High School’s high school graduation ceremony
Over the course of Bethel’s 90-year history, Bethel Academy has been a source of pride and community for the community.
During the graduation ceremony on Sunday, the school hosted a dance party and hosted a live performance by Bethel band, the Bethel Angels.
(Bethel High Schools Facebook page)As a student at Bethe Academy, Lauren and Emily Bowers graduated with a combined total of 7.5 grades and earned a combined grade of 4.3.
(Read more about Bethel students graduating from high school here)”We are just very excited that we got our diplomas and it means so much to us,” Lauren said.
“It means so many things to us, especially in terms of the students who are graduating and how they are able to help others.”
In addition to graduating with honors, Emily was the first high school senior to graduate from Bethel with a bachelor’s degree.
“It was such a special moment for us,” Emily said.
Emily’s mom, Sarah Bowers, said Emily has had a lot of support from Bethe students throughout her years of attending Bethel.
“She’s just a wonderful young lady, a wonderful, caring young lady,” Sarah said.
“This is just one of those moments that I will never forget,” Emily added.
Emily is currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in communications from Bethell College.
Her graduation comes on the heels of a graduation ceremony held on Saturday by Bethe Angels band, and a graduation dance party.
The band performed songs from Bethere’s history including “Let Me Sing,” “Don’t Stop” and “The Best Night Ever.”

Bethel was named one of the “Best High Schools in America” in 2015.
