
How to get a job in Kerala?
An article in The Hindu, the country’s largest English-language newspaper, has sought to provide an insight into Kerala’s job market, with the help of a survey.
The article, published on March 24, asks students, parents, and job seekers about the top five jobs available in Kerala.
The top five positions are as follows:• The driver of a bus.• A cook for a restaurant.• An accountant.• The general secretary of the government.
The first position of the drivers of buses is the most popular.
According to a survey conducted by Kerala’s National Employers’ Association (NEO), a non-profit organisation, drivers earn between Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 a month, while the average salary of an accountant is Rs 20,000.
Kerala’s unemployment rate stands at 3.5 per cent, compared with 8.4 per cent in neighbouring Tamil Nadu.
The average salary for a driver is Rs 30-40,000, according to the NEO survey.
The average salary is around Rs 30 lakh for an accountant.
The highest salaries for accountants and chefs are also in Kerala, with an average salary between Rs 70,000-80,000 annually, according the survey.
A typical income for a professional is around 2,000 to 3,000 crore rupees ($3.7-6.5 billion).
The drivers of restaurants are the least common position in Kerala’s employment market.
According to a study by the Kerala Statistical Institute, there are 1.9 million cooks in Kerala and 1.6 million cooks employed in the restaurant industry, while 1.4 million cooks work in the construction industry.
The drivers for restaurants are often the ones who are promoted and who have the responsibility to ensure the quality of the food, said the report.
According the survey, the number of restaurants has increased from 5,700 in 2009 to 8,500 in 2016.
Kerala has about 50 million restaurants and about 10 million cooks.
The state has about 2.7 million construction jobs, according a study done by the state government.
There are over 4,000 construction companies in the state, which are mostly located in the urban areas, according an official of the state’s department of construction and urban development.
According a study conducted by the Central Statistical Organization (CSO), there are about 17,000 industrial jobs in Kerala that are employed in construction.
The government has allocated nearly 6,000 crores to the construction sector in the last fiscal.
The government has also launched a new scheme for the construction and rehabilitation of the national highway in Kerala for the benefit of the construction workers.
