Stars to play two preseason games at A&A Arena in Austin, Texas
Texas Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock said Thursday that the team will open up the season with two preseason home games at the A&am;A, located in Austin.
“I’m hoping that the fans of Austin will come out and support us and the city of Austin, and that they’ll support us because we have a very good fan base,” Hitchcock said.
“There’s no question that the A &O Arena is the best venue for us.
So we’ll just have to go there and hopefully get a good response and hopefully have a good game.”
Hitchcock said that the Stars have a solid preseason schedule to look forward to, but they will have to play more games against teams from outside of the Central Division.
The Stars will also be playing two preseason friendlies this season against the Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers.
Hitchcock said he expects to see the Stars play two friendlies against the Panthers and Rangers, but did not specify the dates.
