Trump on Wednesday said that the U.N. had “never had a more violent place in the world than the United States.”
He also said that African-Americans are “really bad people” and that “it’s a really sad day” when police officers “are getting away with murder.”
The remarks came during a wide-ranging conversation on guns, drugs and the death penalty.
Trump also said he would be “totally open” to discussing a plan to close the U,S.
prison in Mexico, which has been a hot button issue in the 2016 presidential race.
